Torn Together Trade Institute
is a non-profit teaching program with a three dimensional perspective designed to reach an indigenous and foreign people group
that need an occupational skill to help them become productive in our society. Our goal is to provide the opportunity, for
those willing to learn, through a series of basic and practical workshops associated with the many trades involved in the
building industry. The institute is not designed to provide accreditation as a professional tradesman, but rather to help
those individuals recognize their potential by learning the fundamentals in the trade they choose to excel in.
Notwithstanding, a graduating apprentice
can acquire the necessary skills to apply to a conventional school, or even obtain employment with local contractors as Mechanical
Assistants. Our objective is to help an individual maximize their potential by reaching a marketable level of achievement.
There is also a psychosocial benefit of re-socialization and re-integration, awarding a graduate renewed desire and purpose
along with the actual means to become self-sufficient.
People of
all ages and ethnicities require a sense of value and worth in order to productively react to our God-given ability to learn,
and respond with confidence and hope. All of us, including the physically disabled as well, can reach and grow beyond their
circumstances given the right time and opportunity.
It is with this consideration that we have created a team
of volunteer occupational teachers who are highly skilled in the trade fields of Electricity, Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing,
Locksmith, Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Computer Repair, and House Keeping. We also have the availability
of volunteer teachers in Barbering, Food Processing, Nurses Aide, Secretarial, Dental Assistant and many other trade or occupational
skills training that will become available as the demand arises.
We are a Federally
recognized 501C3 Non-Profit Charitable Organization, and are registered with the Attorney Generals Office also as a Char500
Organization, we sincerely hope that you would consider a financial contribution toward our program.
Currently we are not supportes by any grants or foundations
and serve our communities solely on the generosity of those who believe that what we're doing is valuable and life-changing.
Our volunteers are motivated by their own journey towards success, and use this experience to inspirationally help someone elses
dream come true. Your contribution will help finance some of our operating costs, and keep this program operating effectively.

“Some may
think this process is a waste of time, but considering the time wasted through the mistakes we make, this process becomes
time gained and not lost.”
